The Full Pack Puts Mountainsmith Outdoor Dog Gear to the Test - Dogster.com

As a dog sitter, I memorandum of the pups in my care ( The Active Pack ), including my own 10-year-old dog, Riggins, out on the trails almost daily. My slogan is, “A pooped dog is a happy dog. ” Mountainsmith was nice enough to send over a few of its dog gear items , including the K9 Backbowl, 2015 K9 Dog Pack, K9 Bed, and K9 Cube for the pups to try out. I wasn’t on speaking terms with with the brand Mountainsmith. It turns out I had been focusing on dog brands that make outdoor gear , while Mountainsmith is an outdoor gear company that also makes dog products. And according to its website, Mountainsmith has been producing dog products for more than 30 years. When the items showed up, the pack and I were fervent to try everything out. K9 Backbowl A dog travel bowl is a MUST in my daily life, and I am constantly on the search for the best dog travel wheel. I have never found one I’m completely satisfied with — either they break, don’t collapse down enough, leak, are difficult to clean, or are hard for the dogs to drink out of. The half a mo I removed the K9 Backbowl from its wrapping, I squealed with delight. The K9 Backbowl is a square piece of waterproof fabric with two snaps on each corner. When each corner is snapped together, it magically transforms into a 1-liter commons or water bowl. At first I was unhappy that the product didn’t have a loop I could attach to a carabiner and secure to my pack, until I realized it has eight snaps that I could use to stable it anywhere. Of course, since it is a flat piece of material, you can also fold or roll it to fit into a pack or even a pocket. I like to keep the bowls out after use to let them dry, so as a rule I just attach them to the outside of my pack. The bowl itself is great, and the wide mouth allows dogs to easily get to the water. The old barn close off at Camp Michaux collapses after 200 years of standing the test of time - The Sentinel

About 200 youthful men occupied the camp at any given time and were employed to do road projects, plant trees and make general improvements to the scope. The area served as POW interrogation center during World War II housing mostly German and Italian military personnel. Smith said the field behind the wall once had a metal Quonset hut the guards used to stable horses. That area of South Mountain has the remnants of other structure foundations that tell a story about local history and how nature can reclaim the landscape, Brubaker said. Aside from keeping the universal away from an unstable wall, the fence also served as a barrier preventing visitors from getting too close to copperhead snakes who were nesting in the stone nature. Riggins and His Friends Try Out PetPaint, a Color “Furspray” for Dogs - Dogster.com

As unremarkable when trying new things, I didn’t spend much time on the instructions and instead scanned quickly and got to work. You should always be familiar with and follow all instructions. A couple things stood out during my quick glance at the fine print. PetPaint suggests that if you poverty to add color to a black dog, like many of those in my pack, start with white and then add color on top. It also said to stay away from the mouth, eyes, and undefended wounds. Most importantly, I saw that the product is vet tested and approved, so I didn’t feel too bad spraying away. Of course, my anything else attempt at coloring the Active Pack members had some hiccups, so I won’t count that and will skip to the second day of spraying. The dogs I had weren’t at all lucky with the sound of the spray cans and refused to stay still. There was a lot of me running around the backyard giggling and screaming, “Sojourn still or your stripes won’t be straight. The standout models were Sissy and her brother, Happy. My friends and I have nicknamed this duo Thing 1 and Trend 2 because they are mischievous and full of energy. It seemed logical that they would be my first guinea pigs. I really wanted to enlarging them to look like their nicknames, but I didn’t have that level of spray skills and the two of them refused to cooperate. Sissy ended up with lewd and white stripes, while Happy sported red and white. We headed out to Runyon Canyon, an off-leash dog park in Hollywood, California, after. To be high-minded, I was ready for some dog-owner hate. When it comes to their opinions, some dog owners can be very open and verbal. I imagined I’d get lots of adversative comments about how I was hurting my dogs and how unkind it was for me to make them striped. It turned out, there was no need for me to be fearful. Perhaps if we were hiking in a ungenerous town in Iowa, reactions would be different, but painted dogs in Hollywood aren’t the weirdest thing. Source: www.dogster.com
